Incredible art and comic books go hand in hand! South Central LA is bursting with amazing up and coming black comic book artists, who are sure to make an impact on the comic book industry. Some of the standouts include Lina Iris Viktor, whose intricate mixed-media pieces combine collage, painting, and photography, and Jiba Molei Anderson, whose vibrant, abstract paintings explore themes of identity and power. Other noteworthy artists include the duo of Alitha E. Martinez and Afua Richardson, who recently collaborated on the Marvel series Black Panther: World of Wakanda, and Tyler Kirkham, whose work on DC Comics' Green Lantern is highly praised. With so many talented creators coming out of South Central LA, expect to see many more stunning works in the near future

Then, the art department will bring the story to life through the use of art, color palettes, and graphics. The art department will also ensure that all elements of the comic book are properly placed, from the placement of the characters to the background elements. Finally, the comic book is ready to be published and sent to readers. Along the way, the art department must ensure that all the elements are working together to create an inspiring and visually captivating comic book. One last obstacle awaits the art department – the proofreading and editing of the comic book to ensure that it is free of errors and ready to be published.
